EDUCATION
Dr Khasho was born in 1976 in Nicosia, Cyprus. After completing his high school years at the English School in Nicosia, he trained as a Physician at the Charles University of Prague in the Czech Republic. He received full registration from the General Medical Council in the UK, in 2005. He then went on to study Internal Medicine at the University of Crete from which he received his degree as Consultant Physician in Internal Medicine in 2010. In 2016 he completed his training in Diabetes at the University of Cardiff for which he received his Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes.
SPECIALIZATION
Dr Khasho specialises in Internal Medicine. He is also certified as an Advanced Life Support Instructor by the European Resuscitation Council. His vast work experience includes work at the General Hospital of Nicosia in the Department of Internal Medicine, at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre, and at the “Laiko” General Hospital of Athens, in the Department of Diabetes.
EXPERIENCE
After completing his pre-registration tenure at the Nicosia General Hospital in 2003, Dr Khasho was employed as a Junior Doctor at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre in Nicosia. From 2005 to 2009 he was a trainee in Internal Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine at Nicosia General Hospital. At the same time, he did a short tenure at the “Laiko” General Hospital of Athens, in the Department of Diabetes. From 2011 to 2012 he provided his services as a Consultant Physician in the A&E Department, at the Nicosia General Hospital. In 2012 he moved to the Department of Internal Medicine & Diabetes Outpatient Department within the same hospital. Since 2019, he is a GP under the General Health System at the Nicosia Medical Centre.
He is a member of the European Society of Hypertension and an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
