EDUCATION

Dr Christofi obtained his Medical Diploma from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2002. Following his graduation, he gained extensive clinical experience by working for three years in internal medicine, general surgery, and emergency departments across Cyprus and Greece.

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Christofi completed his specialist training in Plastic Surgery at RAMBAM University Hospital in Israel, where he developed expertise in reconstructive surgery following trauma or the removal of malignant tumours. His specialisation also includes oncological and cosmetic breast surgeries, as well as a comprehensive range of cosmetic procedures for the face and body.

In addition, he has expanded his expertise into skin surgery, laser treatments, non-surgical cosmetic procedures, burn treatment, the correction of congenital anomalies (such as cleft lip and palate), and reconstructive microsurgery.

EXPERIENCE

Dr Christofi has undertaken multiple prestigious fellowships in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery worldwide.

In 2014, he was awarded a Fellowship for Cleft Surgery by Operation Smile, furthering his expertise in craniofacial reconstructive procedures. The following year, in 2015, he trained at TOOLO Hospital in Helsinki, Finland, where he focused on reconstructive surgery, breast surgery, and sex reassignment surgery.

In 2016, he completed a Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the renowned ASAN Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea, gaining advanced skills in complex microsurgical procedures. During the same year, he also completed the International Master’s in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Barcelona.

In 2017, he undertook additional training in Brazil (Ribeirão Preto, Goiânia, and Rio de Janeiro), specialising in cosmetic surgery and post-bariatric body contouring. In 2019, he obtained a Master’s Degree in European Surgical Oncology, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery from the University of Barcelona, further expanding his expertise in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery.

Continuing his commitment to professional development, in 2024, he completed advanced training in endoscopic facial aesthetic surgery, enhancing his proficiency in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation techniques.

Beyond his clinical and academic achievements, Dr Christofi has participated in numerous international medical conferences and training seminars, staying at the forefront of plastic and reconstructive surgery advancements. Additionally, he has volunteered his surgical expertise on humanitarian missions to underprivileged regions, providing essential medical care to those in need.
