Dr Petros Ioannou pursued his medical studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, graduating in 2006. His academic training provided a robust foundation for his subsequent specialisation in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology.

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Ioannou specialises in Knee Arthroscopy, with a focus on meniscus repair and treatment, Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty, and the management of Sports Injuries.

He also has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders, employing advanced techniques to deliver personalised care for every patient.

EXPERIENCE

Dr Ioannou has extensive experience in both public and private healthcare settings. From 2008 to 2014, he worked at the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he gained significant experience managing complex orthopaedic cases and performing advanced surgical procedures.

Since 2014, Dr Ioannou has been affiliated with the Apollonion Private Hospital, where he continues to provide high-quality orthopaedic care. In his practice, he has implemented advanced techniques, such as tensiomyography, to refine treatment approaches and enhance patient recovery outcomes.

In addition, Dr Ioannou has served as the National Men’s Football Team Doctor for Cyprus since 2014, offering his expertise in sports injuries and ensuring the health and recovery of athletes at the national level.
