EDUCATION

Dr Asimenios studied at the Medical School of the University of Marche in Italy, where he graduated with distinction (Summa Cum Laude). Following his studies, he fulfilled his military service as a Unit Physician in Xanthi, Greece.

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Asimenios obtained his specialty title in Internal Medicine after completing a five-year training programme at the General Hospital of Serres and the “Hippokration” General Hospital. During this time, he gained extensive experience in managing critically ill patients and complex cases in the fields of Emergency Medicine and inpatient care.

His training also included outpatient practice, where he focused on diagnosing, managing, and monitoring common internal medicine conditions, such as Diabetes Mellitus, Arterial Hypertension, and various infections.

Throughout his specialisation and to the present day, Dr Asimenios has participated in numerous conferences and educational seminars. Notable examples include:

• 11th School of Clinical Hepatology (2018)
• Hypertension School of the Hellenic Society of Hypertension (2023)

In 2024, he completed the annual postgraduate training programme on Diabetes, organised by the Hellenic Association for the Study and Education of Diabetes.

EXPERIENCE

In Cyprus, Dr Asimenios has worked at the Nicosia General Hospital, both in the Accident and Emergency Department and as the head of an inpatient ward at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre. Both institutions are recognised nationwide as centres of excellence in their respective fields.
