EDUCATION
Dr Sendonaris finished high school at the Pancyprian Gymnasium in 1985. He began his medical studies in 1987 at the Medical School of the Aristotelio University of Thessaloniki from where he obtained his medical degree in 1993. He went on to do his internship at Nicosia General Hospital and his Residency at the Medical Department of the same Hospital.
Dr Sendonaris became an Advance Life Support (ALS) provider in 2003 and Advance Life Support (ALS) instructor in 2003 in Hungary. He has also trained in Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
SPECIALIZATION
Dr Sendonaris specializes in Diabetology. He did his training at the Diabetes Center of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) Medical School, Laiko General Hospital, Athens, Greece.
EXPERIENCE
From 2000 to 2007 Dr Sendonaris served as casualty officer at the Casualty Department of the Nicosia General Hospital. As of 2007 he is a Consultant Physician-Diabetologist at Nicosia General Hospital. He is also a Senior lecturer at St. Georges Medical School, University of Nicosia. He is a member of the Cyprus Physicians Association, the Cyprus Diabetes Association, the Hellenic Diabetes Association, and the European Resuscitation Council.
