EDUCATION

Dr Papachrysostomou graduated from the Pancyprian Gymnasium Nicosia in 2009 as a valedictorian. She attended the Medical School of Athens from September 2009 to June 2015 when she received her medical degree with Honours. She then continued her studies at the University of Bristol where she obtained her MSc in Translation Cardiovascular Medicine, with Honours. During the same period, she also obtained a specialised degree in Mediterranean Nutrition and Cardiovascular Health from the University of Athens.  

SPECIALIZATION

She served her Rural Practice at the Hospital of Syros and then at the Medical Centre of Milos Island (2015-2016). She then attended the St. Savvas Anticancer Hospital in Athens for two years as an Internist (2017-2019).

She started her residency in Cardiology at the 251 General Airforce Hospital of Athens (2019-2020), which she completedat the General Hospital of Athens G. Gennimatas (2020-2023).

She attended the European Core Cardiology Examination in June 2023 in which she succeeded (top 2 in Greece).

Dr Papachrysostomou has a particular interest in Preventive Cardiology, and she is a Silver Member of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. She is also a member of the European Cardiology Society, the Greek Cardiology Society and the Cyprus Cardiology Society.

EXPERIENCE

Dr Papachrysostomou started working as a Cardiologist in Nicosia, Cyprus in February 2024.
