EDUCATION

Dr Georgios L. Georgiou completed his medical studies at the University of Timișoara in Romania, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following his graduation, he pursued his specialist training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology in Thessaloniki, Greece, where he successfully acquired both specialties.

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Georgiou is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular diseases and general medical conditions. He is a member of the Cyprus Society of Internal Medicine and the Cyprus Society of Cardiology, demonstrating his commitment to maintaining high professional standards in his field.

EXPERIENCE

Dr Georgiou began his medical career with a Pre-Registration Course at Nicosia General Hospital, gaining essential clinical experience before moving to Thessaloniki, Greece, where he worked as a Resident Doctor in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

Since 1995, he has been practising as a private physician in Dali and Nicosia, providing specialised medical care in both fields. In 2010, he joined the Onasilio Medical Centre, where he continues to practise to this day, offering expert consultations and treatments to his patients.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Georgiou has been actively involved in medical journalism and media, having authored and edited medical articles for newspapers and magazines. Furthermore, he was responsible for the presentation and editorial oversight of the television programme “Ev Zin Live”, which focused on medical and healthcare topics.

Dr Georgiou also collaborates as a medical consultant with various companies and organisations based in Cyprus, providing professional guidance on health-related matters.
