EDUCATION

Dr Theodora (Dorita) Efstathiou completed her secondary education at the First Gymnasium of Paphos. She then pursued her medical studies at the Medical Academy of Sofia in Bulgaria, where she obtained her medical degree.

Following her medical training, she specialised in Anaesthesiology at the General Hospital of Athens “Georgios Gennimatas”, where she gained extensive experience in administering anaesthesia across various surgical disciplines.

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Efstathiou specialises in Anaesthesiology, with expertise in the administration of general and regional anaesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures. She has extensive experience in perioperative patient care, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anaesthesia management, and postoperative pain control.

EXPERIENCE

Dr Efstathiou has over three decades of experience in anaesthesiology, having worked in the Anaesthesiology Department of Nicosia General Hospital for thirty-three years. During her tenure, she provided anaesthesia for numerous surgical procedures, contributed to critical care and emergency interventions, and played a key role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgery.

After a long and distinguished career in the public healthcare sector, she transitioned to private practice, where she has continued to apply her expertise in anaesthesia, maintaining her commitment to high-quality patient care.
