Dr Sakis Lambrianides attended the Pankyprion Gymnasium in Cyprus. He then moved to Greece where he graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2010 and then went on to Germany where he completed his specialization in Neurology at the St. Josef Oberhausen and at the University Hospital Düsseldorf. He then worked as a consultant neurologist at St. Josef Hospital in Oberhausen.
Dr Lambrianides specializes in Neurology with a special interest in Multiple Sclerosis. He has worked in all aspects of both inpatient and outpatient neurology, with a particular interest in Multiple Sclerosis and stroke patients.
In November 2017 he returned to Cyprus where he worked as a consultant neurologist at the Institute of Neurology and Genetics. His research has been published in approved international and Greek scientific journals and has been presented at conferences both in Cyprus and abroad. He participated in a global multicentre study on amyloid polyneuropathy, as principal investigator. He has served as Special scientist for Neurology at the University of Cyprus and Clinical Instructor for Neurology at the University of Nicosia. Dr Lambrianides was a medical instructor of neurology for medical students at the University of Duisburg-Essen, in Germany. He has also taught clinical neurology to the students at the medical schools of the University of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia, and the European University of Cyprus. From February 1, 2020, Dr Lambrianides maintains a practice at the Apollonian Hospital in Nicosia, within the framework of General Health Service GESY. He is a Member of the Expert Panel of the Cyprus Alliance for Rare Disorders, Member of the European Stroke Organization, Member of the World Stroke Organization, Member of the Cyprus Resuscitation Council, Member of the Cyprus Neurological Society, Member of the German Neurological Society, Member of the German medical association Nord Rhein and Member of the Pancyprian medical association.
