EDUCATION
Dr Stylianides graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he received his first medical degree in 1980. Management of chronic conditions within the community and exposure to a wide age range of patients were the factors to pursue a career in Internal and General Medicine. He also obtained a PhD on “Study of Magnesium in plasma and Erythrocytes of Diabetic patients” at AHEPA University Hospital of Thessaloniki in 1988.
He successfully completed a research Doctoral Thesis at the AHEPA University Hospital and the Toxicology/Forensics and Biochemistry Laboratories of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from where he received a Doctoral Diploma.
SPECIALIZATION
Dr Stylianides specialized in Pathology, at the AHEPA University Hospital, where he actively participated in all activities, clinical research and took part in the training of medical students.
EXPERIENCE
Dr Christodoulos Stylianides is a Physician who provides professional primary care services throughout Cyprus.
He has extensive experience in General Practice and Internal Medicine and his specialty training included posts in Greece and Cyprus. From 1980 to 1981 he completed his pre-registration practice in Nicosia General Hospital. From 1981 to 1986 he specialised in Internal Medicine at AHEPA University Hospital. From 1989 to 2020 he worked as a Government Physician, holding the post of Chief Medical Officer for many years.
Since 2020, he is working as a GESY (General Health Service) doctor.
Dr Stylianides currently works as a Physician, which involves the management and care of patients within the community. His role as a Physician involves, educating the patient about their condition; discussing treatment options and coming to an agreeable management plan with the patient; monitoring the care and treatment of the patient; making appropriate management modifications ensuring patient’s best interests are met and improving the patient’s quality of life.
