EDUCATION

Dr Antonis Ioannou received his degree in Medicine from the Medical School of the University of Crete where he continued as a postgraduate student and specialized in Cellular and Genetic Etiology, Diagnostics and Therapeutics of Human Diseases. He received his master’s degree in 2011 with distinction. He continued his postgraduate studies at Harvard Medical School as a postdoctoral researcher at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston, completing his dissertation on the effect of the immune system on tissue necrosis after ischemic injury. The research was performed in the laboratory of Professor Georgios Tsokos at the University Hospital of Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

He received his PhD from the Medical School of the University of Crete in 2015. 

SPECIALIZATION

Dr Antonis Ioannou provides personalized patient care, tailored to your needs. He is engaged with the majority of heart diseases with particular interest in cardiovascular prevention, cardiac imaging, heart failure and valvular disease.

He worked as a Cardiology Fellow, at the General Hospitals of Limassol and Nicosia with special interest in cardiac imaging, valvular diseases, heart failure and the assessment of cardiovascular risk for coronary artery disease.
